Feast days fast approach!

Organic food, regeneratively grown food is nourishing to the land and to the eater both. It is one of the reasons we believe so strongly in what we do - for the benefits all up and down the supply chain, and ultimately to the people who eat the good food that we are able to provide. And in the holiday season when you are trying to find a gift for someone that they'll love, and that will demonstrate your caring, good food is a great option.

If you are like us and are just starting the search for the perfect gift, please know that we have Gift Cards for sale in the webstore. These have been popular for people from afar who have a loved one nearby in the Okanagan. Just an idea!

And if you have the freezer space and just want to pass on the love of good, organic, food then you could order a Homesteader Box and wrap it up! Just don't leave it under the Christmas tree overnight...

But really, I think the best gift of all around the holiday season is to prepare excellent food and celebrate together with friends, and with family. It's the gift that keeps on giving, spilling happiness and meaning into the rest of the season; the joy of feeding people, and yourself too. It is what we live and work for here on the farm.

I have been reflecting on joy and what brings me joy as we approach the shortest day of the year, and this is one of those things - cooking and eating, and being together with friends and family. Celebrating community. So choose your favourite food, your favourite dish, and prepare that, and invite a friend or a few, and let them know what a gift they are to you.

Happy Solstice, Merry Christmas, and Happy New Years from the farm.
